Baby Shoes and Sandals

Hi!

It has been months since I last blogged. Not that I didn't had time to crochet, in fact, I was making quite a number of amigurumies and other crochet items in the last few months. I was too occupied (a little too lazy maybe) to blog about the progress.

This year, I've started learning how to crochet baby shoes and sandals. Been wondering ever since I learnt crocheting many years ago whether I should focus on amigurumi only or try on wearable items like hat, sandals, socks, baby dress and so on. This is because, wearables means I have to control the gauge, and I had a little trouble in following instructions. hehe.

But I decided to try, and here we are, my baby shoes.. :D

I love the ribbons ;)

Mary Jane booties

simple sandals

This is not my pattern, It's downloadable from Happy Berry's webpage.
She has lots of beautiful and cute patterns!

Boy shoes. Love the angelfish ;)

What do you think? I still have a lot to learn on making baby shoes. For now, I'm stuck at the same size of about 9cm long.

Please don't hesitate to contact me or comment on my blog with any questions and suggestions.

My First Participation In A Contest

The Croco Family

Hi guys! Recently I joined a contest of amigurumi design. I am sure most of you are aware of this competition by  http://www.amigurumipatterns.net/ .

It was my first time joining one. I managed to submit at the very last minute because I was quite occupied with other customers orders. Thank goodness!

This year, the theme is parent and baby animals. I chose to do crocodiles because I love their prehistoric looks and they share common ancestors with dinosaurs (yes I'm a fan of dinosaurs heh heh). Here, I made a family of three: papa, mama and lil' croco. I placed a black bow on Papa Croco, and apron on Mama. As for Lil' Croco, I made a pacifier and a ball for him to play with. I had lots of fun creating them!

Do check out at all the other entries that have been submitted here http://www.amigurumipatterns.net/designcontest/entries. Honestly saying, the other entries are incredible!

Voting will take place from January 3 till January 9. Everyone will be given a chance to vote once for their 5 favourite designs. If you think that I deserve your vote, do vote for me!

Love,

Pauline

Happy New Year!!

A new year, a new chapter.

A year ago, I dreamt of blogging. I wanted to share my love for amigurumi, by creating patterns to share with the world. But first, I need to brush up my skills of crocheting of course, and learn how to blog (yes, I admit, I am not good in IT).

Now, it is the first day of a new year and here I am, writing my first post.
This year, I wish to create as many amigurumi designs as possible, and find time to share the patterns with you all.

Cross fingers!

Have a great new year everyone. Blessed year ahead.

Love,
Pauline
