  2. He's very sweet.

I would like to make this pattern smaller, about 50%. Can you help?

    Thank you,

    1. Hi Amy,
Thanks! I would suggest you to use smaller hook, because so far, that's the only way to increase / decrease the size without risking of distorting the shape. Hope this helps!

  3. Hi Pauline, could you please measure the width too? 90 st seemed a bit too big... hopefully im doing it correctly..

    1. Hi Gillian,

Thanks for your interest in making Elmo using my pattern! The last time I checked, yes it really goes up to 90 st. :) I am not sure about the width because Elmo is currently living with his new family a few hundreds of kilometers away. Sorry!

    1. Hola Sandra,
I am so sorry for replying in English as Spanish is really not my forte. My bad! Nevertheless, thanks for your interest in using my pattern, so I will try my best to answer! :) Basically, you make a decrease (sc2tog) and followed by sc on each of the next 11 sts. Repeat this step for another 4 times, and then sc on each of the next 13 sts. Hope this helps!

    1. Hi Evgenia,
Glad you like it! Oops, I did not jot that part down in my pattern, sorry! I started placing the mouth somewhere 2 - 3 rows below the second half of the head, and followed by nose and eyes. Hope this helps somehow. :)

  6. Hi there.
I’m loving your Elmo pattern, and I’m working on the mouth right now. Just have a couple of quick questions.
    Is it worked in rounds?
Rnd 1 says chain 20 then sc 19, ch1 and turn.
Does that mean to chain 20 and join into a circle, THEN sc 19?

    Sorry I’m just confused.

    Thanks.
    Bess :)

    1. Hi Bess, glad you love my Elmo. For the mouth piece, start with a slip knot and chain 20 times. You'll get a long piece of chains! :) Then, turn to its side, begin with the first single crochet from the second ch from your hook and continue sc until the end, you should be able to get 19 sc. Then, ch 1, and turn. Hope this helps!
